Haven't figured out names yet so I'm up for suggestions. For now I'm going to use Lord 1-7 because those are the characters. It's going to sound really corny though.
The gong of the bell on peson had reverberated throughout the small island. The court of the lord's was to meet that day.
Six of the seven lord's were sitting around a elliptical table with seven ruts in it for each of the lord's to occupy. The room they were in was small but with an enormous ceiling stretching three hundred feet above where they were sitting. Windows scattered the walls letting in a substantial amount of light.
All of a sudden, Lord 7 walked through the doorway of the chamber and as he walked to his seat he spoke. "I'm sorry I was late gentlemen the captain of my ship was being a little slow this morning and took us slightly off course. You'd think you would get a good captain if you were the king." The congregation around him laughed as he settled down. Lord 1 leaned over and said, "Lord 7 we were just about to get started with our negotiations. I thought we should start with the subject of taxes."
The discussions went on for hours on end. As the court of lord's happened once a year they had much to discuss and decide. Taxes, transportation, trading, military, defense, needs, revolts and many other things.
As the bell for the end of the day drew nearer Lord 4 spoke up. "My fellow Lords, I haven't brought this subject up in hopes that someone else might but it must be addressed. The half-men..." There was a sound of decent from the other Lords as if each of them had been waiting for this. Lord 4 continued, "The population of centaurs in Marstillia have grown alarmingly in the past year. They know they are not treated the same and have taken part in many petitions and revolts. I can't deny that I'm getting worried. We know that the half-men have lands outside of the mainland but if they were to invade, I fear they could have a chance to do damage and if the centaurs were to form alliances with other half-men I'm afraid we would be pressured to withstand with our forces so widespread. I propose that we must do something about these half-men before they do something about us."
Lord 2 replied, "The fawns, they have also taken refuge in my kingdom soon to be a third of our population." Many of the other lords also shared reports of the invasions of half-men and the problem they posed. "....and the minotaurs, they eat 3 times as much as a normal human," concluded Lord 5. Lord 1 finally spoke, "We sent the half-men away once, but this time we need to do something much more permanent. If everyone agrees, I would like to impose a new law that calls all half-men on the mainland to the capitol of there respective provinces. Once there we can do what we please."
The court responded with a great, "Here! Here!"
