"Sam! Sam!." Asked the teacher suspiciously. Sam realized he had been staring at the window for almost 10 whole minutes while his history teacher lectured on how Benjamin Franklin was such a great guy history blah, blah, blah. He was blushing heavily as he realized he wasn't just staring at the window he was staring at Elisa Diles the most popular girl at school.

At lunch, Sam's trance didn't leave.
"Hello!" Elisa Diles waved to a boy behind Sam, but he thought she was waving to him.
Crack! went Sam's chair, because he wasn't paying attention to how creaky the chair was. Elisa Diles gave Sam a weird look.

Elisa Went over to help him up. Sam could hardly talk because he was so embarrassed. What stumbled out of his mouth was something like "agnk, ugu, hie. Some kids at lunch saw the seen and started chanting saying " Elisa has a boyfriend awwwwwwwww."

When Sam arrived from home, he was in another world.
At the dinner table, Sam had a faraway look. His father frowned and raised his eyebrows.
"I know that look. Have a crush on somebody, m'boy?"
"Well... no" Sam lied." His father gave him a suspicious look, sighed, and pulled out his evening newspaper.

After dinner he went up into his room to "finish his homework."
When he went into his room he plopped on his and stared at the wall not knowing what to do next.
He knew in his head Elisa must hate him for starting the scene in the lunch room.
He knew he had to come up with a way to make her not hate him for embarrassing her in the lunch room and make people think they weren't "together."
Even though he secretly hoped they were in a way.

The next day in school, Sam saw Elisa in homeroom. He walked up to her, working over the speech he had written down and memorized the night before. She was sitting at her desk near the wall. With his fedora on and black trenchcoat, he sidled up to her with a confident swagger.
"Hey there Elisa," Sam said smoothly, not making eye contact with her, but instead looking up dramatically towards the wall.
"Hey Sam," She said prettily.
Finally Sam could resist no longer. He turned to look at her, watching her lips move. They were so plump and red, so kissable. "Beautiful..." He said, mouth hanging open, as if he was in a trance.
"Excuse me?" Elisa said, face reddening.
Sam's mouth snapped shut. "I... I -"
A loud crash interrupted him as the far with the chalkboard fell in onto the teachers desk. Mrs. Kim, their homeroom teacher jumped and screamed really loudly. "OH MY GOD WHAT IS THAT" A massive, round shape was there, standing in the other classroom. It was dressed in a fedora and a massive trenchcoat. Three brave buttons held the coat together, but it looked like they were under a lot of strain.
"RUN KIDS RU-" Mrs. Kim started, but the shape blobbed into the room and crushed her with one stumpy arm.
Beside Sam, Elisa was screaming in horror.
"Don't worry!" Sam said heroically. All the other kids had run to the back corner of the room except Sam and Elisa. Sam held her in his arms protectively.
The monster moved closer until it was only a few feet away. "Pbrthlhabrabraphlbhralthahba!" The noise rumbled out of its mouth.
"STAND BACK BEAST!!! If you lay a hand on her..." Sam left the threat unfinished.
The monster roared and came at them, only to be stopped by the astonishing quickness of Sam's quickdraw. His revolver was out so fast that everyone in the room couldn't help but gasp. Sam fired.
